TACKING – WELDING – CLINCHING

The last stage in sheet metal processing is assembly, which consists of the mechanical joining of the parts obtained during the previous stages.

Sheet metal parts can be assembled through different processes, depending on the purpose of their final utilization.

In particular, assembly can be performed by:

TACKING

- CONVENTIONAL TACKING (also called electrical tack-welding) or PROJECTION TACK-WELDING

which consists of the melting of 2 components as a result of the electric discharge of two copper electrodes, which allows permanently joining solid parts to one another

Our tack-welding workshop is provided with:

  •  1 off PROJECTION TACKING MACHINE – 30KVA  (CEA)
  •  1 off PROJECTION TACKING MACHINE – 125KVA  (ISEA)
  •  1 off  TACKING MACHINE –  25KVA  (ISEA)
  •  1 off  TACKING MACHINE  20KVA  (TECNA)
  •  1 off  TACKING MACHINE – 30KVA  (EME)
  •  1 off  TACKING MACHINE  -15KVA  (CEA)
  •  1 off  OVERHEAD TACKING MACHINE  20KVA  (PEI)

WELDING

- WELDING is the process through which a localized application of heat allows melting two metals together, thus permanently joining them.

Welding can be performed through various methods.

The most popular ones, which also Elifra utilizes in its process, are:

– TIG welding, suitable when welding parts that need pressure-tightness

– MIG-MAG welding, suitable when welding parts that need mechanical tightness

Our welding workshop is provided with:

  •  2  off  MIG WELDERS – 200 A  (MB)
  •  1  off  MIG WELDER – 250 A  (MB)
  •  2  off  MIG WELDERS 200 A  (WELDTRONIC)
  •  2  off  MIG WELDERS 200 A with automation (WELDTRONIC)
  •  1  off  TIG WELDER c/w water cooling (WELDTRONIC)
  •  1  off  MIG WELDER – 300 A  (CEA)
  •  1  off  MIG WELDER – 400 A  (CEA)
  •  1  off  TIG WELDER c/w water cooling (CEA)
  •  1  off  MIG WELDER  (MILLER)
  •  1  off  TIG WELDER c/w water cooling (CEBORA)

  •  1 off  PNEUMATIC PRESS for self-clinching parts

CLINCHING

- CLINCHING, which is usually called cold welding, is a process used to join metals through the local cold deformation of the materials. It is particularly suitable for galvanized parts, since this process does not affect the protection.
Our welding workshop is provided with:

  • 1 off  CLINCHING MACHINE – 70 KN TOX PRESSOTECHNIK
